commitment has never been stronger. >>> obama care can't succeed without them, and that's why president obama is hosting a youth summit this afternoon. the administration says healthcare.gov is vastly improved, now working more than 90% of the time and able to support at least 800,000 users per day. on monday, as we've been reporting, the site had a million visitors. but even with these improvements, what are the chances the administration reaches its goal of seven million americans enrolled by the end of march? take a look at the math. in october, 27,000 americans signed up on the federal exchange. in the month of november, 100,000 people. even if, let's say, they quadruple november's numbers in december, that's another 400,000 enrollments. so under that scenario, less than a million people will have enrolled in the first three months, leaving only three months left to get to the goal of seven million. i want to bring in "washington post" columnist and msnbc policy annual list ezra klein from whom we steal these kinds of numbers. ezra, good morning. >> good morning. >> what are the chances r

pleased with the kind of response he's been getting from the obama administration about security. and depending on where you look, congressman, you know, people on the right to some extent say there was never even any thought to getting security in there. and people on the left say, you know, when i had a kid, should i have gotten rid of my kid when i saw a few glitches? no, you fix the glitches. it's a wide spectrum. what wept into the planning for security? >> well, unfortunately, not much. this isn't about wanting the site to fail itself. you're pushing people. people have lost their health care. they need to be able to access this site in order to get on and get a policy by january. so that's our concern. and what you've done is you've opened them up to a level of risk using this website i've never seen. standard site of this size would be about 500,000 lines of code, roughly, maybe a little less. the code in healthcare.gov is about 5 million lines of code. and it has never been thoroughly tested. and so we know of a very low level access problem and meaning that somebody cou

a substantive difference? >> look, i think any kind of -- any time you're criticizing the obama administration on their economic record, you've really got to take into account not just what they've done, but what they've tried to do. have they done enough to lower the unemployment rate to offset inequality? i don't think so. but have they tried to do the kinds of policies that would move in that direction? very much so. i'm thinking of the american jobs act. the minimum wage increase the president proposed back in the last state of the union. the fact they've been blocked along the way so many times by congress is really important if you're doing that kind of evaluation. >> and you have to make that point to so many other different topics. that's out there. look, we can't talk about all this without mentioning friday's jobs report. we saw unemployment fall to 7.0% for the first time since '08. best numbers in five years. what's your analysis of the report? >> well, it was a good report. sometimes we've talked about these declines in unemployment as being due to the fact that people left the la
